April shopping begins

Well hopefully this month will be a little more normal and I can show you how much I normally buy with the $350.  Our pantry is pretty empty due to the fact that we ate out of it most of March so I will probably be buying even more than normal.  With Kroger ending doubling/tripling here in Houston and the price of gas soaring we will see how this goes.  Is it just me, how is it every time you think you have something down to an art things change and you have to start all over ? :(

Anyway to my trips, I went to Walmart since I really really need ground beef and it was not on sale anywhere lately.  Plus I wanted to check out how the overage from coupons would work (for their new coupon policy).

Bisquick $3.28 - $.50 = $2.78

Lucky Charms $2.54 -$.55 = $1.99 (I know horrible price but it was a prize for one of my kids)

Ice Cream Cones $1.18

Froggy Cereal $3.19,the big bag crap yes I gave in :)

2 Mc Cormick Chili Seasoning $.78 -$1 = -$.22 times 2 so -$.44

Syrup $1.27

Training Toothpaste $2.88 - $1 =$1.88

GV dressing $1.50

Smuckers Seedless Jam $2.42 -$.75 = $1.67 (I know it is the most expensive but the seeds are what cause allergies so we get it this way so everyone can eat it)

Italian Seasoning Packets $1.22

Yoskiba Chicken $.58-$.50 = $.08

String Cheese $3.48- $1 =$2.48

2 Johnsville Italian Sausage $3.58- $1.50= 2.08

5lbs of ground chuck 12.98

Total  = $39.74

*Side note I got the Johnsville coupons through She Speaks, look it up it is a great way to try products for free or cheap.  This sausage was AWESOME, if you have not tried it try the Sweet Basil one you will not be disappointed!

Then I had to run into HEB since there vegetables are just better and it is on the way home so no more gas used.

2.05lbs of Sweet Onion = $1.58

.77lbs of Red Onions = $1.52

3 pack of  sweet pepper  = $3.99 man that is horrible

Green onions = $.55

Lettuce $1.28

Cantaloupe $1

Russet 5lbs = $2.04

1lb of fresh ravioli = $6.29 (get free sauce $3.69 and free loaf of bread $1.58 with it)

alfredo sauce free

white bread free

Total $18.25

Both trips = $57.99
